Usher in the Year of the Horse at Market City Shopping Center’s annual Chinese New Year celebration. The free event will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the lower-level parking lot fronting HouseMart Ben Franklin Crafts. The first 300 attendees will receive a limited-edition Year of the Horse fan.
The festivities begin with a taiko drum performance by the Taiko Center of the Pacific, followed by the popping of thousands of firecrackers and a traditional lion dance by the Chinese Lion Dance Association. After the ceremony, the lion dancers will move throughout the shopping center, bringing joy and good luck to merchants and customers.
