In the spirit of a safe Halloween, “mummies” and daddies with young kiddies are invited to Market City Shopping Center for family-friendly Halloween fun on Saturday, October 22, 2022, from 5 to 7 p.m., beginning in the lower level parking lot next to Ben Franklin Crafts.

Market City Shopping Center held a food and supply collection and gave a cash donation for Central Union Church’s Serving Aloha program to support people struggling with food insecurity.

After staying away for nearly two years because of COVID, celebrants were happy to be back at Market City Shopping Center to ring in good health and good fortune in the Year of the Tiger.

With the help from the community, Market City Shopping Center’s food drive was a success for Central Union Church’s Serving Aloha program.

In lieu of the traditional Chinese New Year festivities, Kahu Kordell Kekoa offered blessings of hope and good health to Market City Shopping Center and tenants amid the pandemic.

Market City Shopping Center celebrated Chinese New Year with festive lion dances and a firecracker ceremony, taiko drum performances, and fortune cookies for all.
